Pascal Weber (born 1973) is Middle East correspondent for SRF Swiss Radio + TV. During the Arab Spring, he was based in Cairo, Egypt (2011-2015). Since 2015, he lives in Beirut, Lebanon.
Before Pascal moved to the Middle East, he worked in different positions for the news departement at SRF Swiss TV. Among other tasks, he was responsable fort he daily editions of 10vor10, SRF’s late night news magazine. Pascal graduated from the University of Zurich, where he studied Political Science, History and International Law.

Pascal Weber reported live from Cairo’s Tahrir square, when long term dictator Mibarak was ousted. And he was there again when General Sisi lead an Army coup against short-term president Mursi. He was in Libya when Gaddafi fell, and he was in Syria, when president Assad started a civil war to preserve his power. He was in Iraq, when the Islamic State declared his caliphate, and he was there when the Iraqi army reconquered the city of Mosul and defeated ISIS. He traveled to Yemen, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan. Pascal Weber explains how crisis and wars evolved.
